It has been 4 years since I have been the Director of studies of the Masters TMPM. I am very proud to manage this high level training. This program offers students a very large view of manufacturing in microelectronics: from the first step of product design to the packaging techniques of this product. Thus students of the Masters can find a job in the microelectronics manufacturing area with knowledge of constraints due to the design.
It is very exciting for me to manage this program. Thanks to the help of industrial experts in manufacturing and scientists of microelectronics area, the pedagogical content has been updated each year to match with the industrial needs. Thus, since 2 years we have introduced a module about the last advanced techniques of manufacturing using statistical methods. This year we have introduced a week course on RFID and another on Micropackaging with labs in a cleanroom at Centre de Microelectronique de Provence of Ecole des Mines de St-Etienne.
Finally, I will conclude on a personal point of view. It is very rewarding to know and understand the different cultures all over the world, and I think it is the same for students.
